Baraka - Boy, That Escalated Quickly

Hello readers, welcome to my Media Appreciation Blog. This post is about Baraka, a non-narrative film we had watched during the last class before holiday. At first i was quite skeptical by the thought of watching a movie which had no dialogues at all, i had a feeling that it would bore me to death during the whole session. But obviously i was wrong, the film was somewhat an intense journey and full of mixed emotions. For me, Baraka tells the story of the Earth, a revelation of 'untouched' civilizations and  how due to modernization, humans destroyed the beauty it holds bit by bit.

I remembered a scene of Muslims performing their Hajj. So many people converged into one place, walking in circles in front the Kaabah. I was so into it and the echoes of the Azan made me felt like i was there, facing the magnificent Kaabah. The whole scene got me recalled all my wrong doings and how i abandoned my religion while growing up.

That's all for today folks,

Cheers!
